Jimmy Keeter, age 67, of Yellville, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas. He was born in Harrison, Arkansas to John Sterling and Abbie M. (Stewart) Keeter on July 4, 1945.

Jim was employed for 44 years with Capital-Mercury, where he retired as Vice-President of Quality Control. He lived in the area for most of his life; was a member and deacon at First Baptist Church in Yellville; a member of the Lions’ Club for many years; and was on the Single Parent Scholarship Committee; as well as being the former owner of Yellville Florist Shop.

He is survived by his wife, Nora (Still) of the home;

a son, Doug Keeter, and his wife, Missy, of Yellville;

and three grandchildren: Layne, Abbie, and Gage Keeter.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 1, 2012 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Burns Funeral Home in Yellville.

Funeral service will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, August 2, 2012, at First Baptist Church in Yellville with Bro. Tim Cypert, Bro. Rick Pyron, and Bro Jack Gilliland officiating.

Interment will follow at Bruno Cemetery near Yellville.

Pallbearers will be Murphy Dale Still, Jason Still, Gary Still, Eric Still, Mark Still, and Kenneth Still.
