Frank E. Snell, age 85 of Yellville, passed away Thursday, August 9, 2012 at Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House in Mountain Home.
He was born in Laverne, Oklahoma on August 1, 1927 to Frank E. and Nora (Cook) Snell, Sr. Frank served his country in the Army in Korea. After the Army, he went to work for the FAA as an Air Traffic Control Specialist, working in air traffic control centers in Detroit, St. Louis, Olathe, Kansas; and Chicago. He retired after 30 years. He is a member of Rea Valley Baptist Church in Flippin.
Frank is survived by his wife, Sonja Snell of Yellville;
one son, Frank E. Snell, III of Delton, Michigan;
four daughters: Karen Jones of Yellville; Kathy Bebout, of Yellville; Leah Corcoran of Bloomington, Illinois; and Jana Snell of Yellville;
one sister, Betty Snell of Springfield, Illinois;
twenty grandchildren;
and twenty-one great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, August 25, at Rea Valley Baptist Church in Flippin, Arkansas with Bro. Jack Gilliland officiating.
