Doyle Wayne Cheek, age 61, of Flippin, Arkansas passed away Thursday, August 9, 2012 at his home.

He was born April 27, 1951, to O. J. and Thelma Marie (Rogers) Cheek in Yellville. A lifetime resident of the community, he was a farmhand for Forrest Woods Farms and a member of the Yellville Assembly of God Church.

He is survived by his wife, Delores Cheek of Flippin, Arkansas;

two daughters: Charlotte Marler, and husband, Darryl, of Yellville; and Melissa Cheek of Mountain Home;

his father, O.J. Cheek;

four brothers: Charley Cheek and wife, Patty, of Theodosia, Missouri; Bobby Cheek and wife, Ruby, of Gassville, Arkansas; Tommy Cheek and wife, Jackie, of Yellville; and Johnny Cheek and wife, Darla, of Yellville;

two sisters: Paulette Dillinger and husband, Dayle, of Mountain Home; and Mary Ann Lasecki of Yellville;

four grandchildren: Devin Marler, Sarah Lane, Amy May, and Lance May.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Marie.

Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Sunday, August 12, 2012 at Burns Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be 10:00 am, Monday, August 13 at Burns Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Noel Moorehead officiating. Guest speakers will be Forrest Wood, Bert Benton, and Jerry Treat.

Interment will follow in Georges Creek Cemetery in Yellville.

Pallbearers are Bub Burleson, Reese Haley, Kyle Benedict, Bryan Benedict, Keith Daffron, Kevin Daffron, Monte Wood, and Zach Alexander.

Honorary Pallbearers are Tyrone Cheek, Jonathan Cheek, Allan Lasecki, Ray Covington, Brandon Ward, Garrett Ward, Cody, Kyle and Darrell Cheek, Jay Schmidt, Junior Chaney and David Seawright.
